Mixing Lab

Every concept page shows one colorant at a time. Real glass often holds several: pick up to four colorants, set their concentrations, and watch the combined absorption curve and the transmitted color respond. The recipes load preset combinations.

Cobalt, chromium, iron, copper and silver curves are measured (marked ●); the rest are illustrative, drawn from the shape of published spectra. The swatch integrates them against the CIE 1931 observer under daylight. Mixing follows Beer–Lambert: optical densities add, scaled by concentration and thickness. Real melts also involve redox interactions between colorants that this model ignores.
